We're going to party like it's 2014.
Ten years sure have flown by haven't they? We opened our doors for the first time at noon on Saturday, September 6th with just one beer. Yeah, just one! The very creatively named, American Pale Ale was poured into customer growlers using a borrowed mobile draft box. Those early days seem like such a long time ago and frankly we've forgotten most of it. We kept pushing and upgrading, always moving forward. We quickly moved to adopt on-premise pints, really changing the game for us as a company and later fueling our expansion plans.
In 2016 Erie Ale Works started popping up under a branded canopy all over town. Events like Gears & Grub, CelebrateErie, the Flagship Flea, and arts & craft fairs. Hell, we even popped up at a local trampoline park once just to try it out. Parents need a beer while their kids jump AMIRITE?! As our community became more accepting of local beer alongside events we were right there to support it all. We're there when you need us!
Community centered
Our location at 12th & Chestnut has become a launchpad for local food trucks. We often joke the parking space trucks occupy can be worth tens of thousands of dollars, welcoming such names as The Que Abides, The Atacolypse Food Truck, Bro Man's Sammiches, and more recently STO LAT Kitchen and ippa Pizza Napoletana. Thank you.
The friends we've made along the way has been one of the best parts. We have met some wonderful, crazy, and friendly folks that we can't thank enough for their presence here at our shop - in being a part of this thing we have built. Through equipment breakdowns, a global pandemic, and record-high economic stresses, these folks were here alongside us as we continuously put forth efforts to build something positive for our town. Without our community, we're just a few people moving water around. Thank you.
