Benevolent Beers: Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Pasta/Soup Kitchen
Thursday November, 21, 2024 5:00PM
We team up with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church's Pasta/Soup Kitchen for another night of Benevolent Beers!
The Pasta/Soup Kitchen provides free meals to the public 4 days a week. Tuesday evening full dinner at 5 pm and lunch at noon on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. These are cooked and provided by their all-volunteer staff each day.
Additionally, the church operates a Clothes Closet that accepts donations of gently used household goods and clothing, that is open on Tuesday and Saturday when meals are served, and offers these items free to the public.
The church recently received a grant and are in the process of converting a room into a free laundromat for the neighbors and unhoused in our community. The plan is to be open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9am-3pm to allow folks to launder their clothing and household items.
Holy Trinity currently picks up food through the Second Harvest Food Bank rescue program from two Country Fair stores and the Yorktown-Giant Eagle bakery that are used for provision of meals, as well as distribution of bags of food (pizzas, pretzel and breakfast sandwiches, cookies, crackers, etc.) on Tuesday evenings at dinner.
Every sale rung in to our cash register between 5:00 and 8:00pm will provide a donation to this great group
