Benevolent Beers: Presque Isle Partnership
Thursday March, 27, 2025 5:00PM
We team up with the Presque Isle Partnership for another night of Benevolent Beers!
For over 30 years, the Presque Isle Partnership (PIP) has served as the official nonprofit support organization for Presque Isle State Park, working in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) to enhance visitor experiences, improve accessibility, and protect the park’s unique natural environment.
Presque Isle Partnership exists to bridge the gap between state funding and the community’s desire to see the park thrive. While DCNR manages park operations, conservation, and infrastructure, PIP steps in to fund and implement visitor enhancements, public programs, and conservation efforts that might not otherwise be possible. Simply put, we serve as the conduit for community support, helping individuals, businesses, and organizations invest in the park’s future.
Funds raised would be earmarked for our Native Tree Planting program. This initiative aims to reintroduce native species that once thrived on Presque Isle but have diminished due to invasive plants and insects and the dominance of eastern cottonwoods. Looking ahead in 2025, we plan to focus reforestation efforts in the Perry Monument area, aligning with DCNR’s up-coming refurbishment of the monument itself. These efforts will enhance the area’s natural beauty and ecological balance for years to come.
Every purchase between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. will count toward a donation to this great group!
