We brewed a test batch of pale wheat ale on our new equipment Sunday, the hottest day in recent memory. It turned out pretty well before pitching yeast. We think this pale wheat will be one of our mainstays, it allows a wide variety of hop types so it can be flexible.
In other news, it’s very possible we found a location for our burgeoning brewery. It’s in downtown Erie and if it passes all our requirements you’ll hear about it.
In yet more other news, our pale wheat ale earned us a 3rd place medal (out of 24 entries) at the recent TRASH homebrewers competition. We were pretty excited about the feedback from BJCP judges, that’s for sure.
