Starting Thursday, July 16th we will be open every Thursday for the duration of the warmer months. Operating hours will be stated as 5:00PM – 8:00PM, but if you know us well enough, we’ll stay open as long as you want to hang out. Roar on the Shore officially starts on Wednesday, July 15th so we’re happy to be available for those folks heading downtown.
The Rising Tide
On Friday, June 26th the Innovation Collaborative held a meetup at our shop to announce their sponsorship of November’s TEDx Erie event. Read their full story here. About 50 people attended and it was the first time an Erie food truck spent some time at a local brewery.
TEDx Erie’s theme is “The Rising Tide” which can directly translate to our experiences amidst the brewing community. Collaboration, partnerships and a general sense of camaraderie are a part of our every day. We couldn’t have opened up without the help of others in our brewing group. The craft beer segment as a whole has experienced some pretty dramatic growth nationwide too, up 18% according to the Brewers Association. Rising Tide, right?
As often as we can manage it, Friday evenings will be Food Truck nights at Erie Ale Works. We’re really excited that mobile food options (a.k.a. Street Food if you’re hip) have really taken off in our happy town. It’s a great way to experience some great handcrafted food, beer and hang out with a group of family and friends at our shop. Just wait until you see our sweet new tables and chairs!
This Friday, July 10th: The Que Abides is here from 5:00PM – 8:00PM. We gave him some Keyboard Warrior to braise their smoked meats, come and enjoy!
We’re screening a sweet beer startup documentary at our shop on Friday, July 24th at 7:00PM. Tickets are $15 for “Blood, Sweat, and Beer” which includes a pint and gas money for the filmmakers that will be hanging out with us that evening. We’re the only location in town screening this movie, so make sure you don’t miss it.
Finally, a new beer is coming. We’ve waited long enough for an IPA don’t you think? More on that later.
May the beer be with you –
Jeff & Steve
